Brrrrrrrrrr! Anuanu!

BOT:

It's Cold! Is it just me or is Winter here already?

Was nice an warm last week, though, with all the Ohana strumming away! What a turn out! Always nice to have Mr. Donley, Brudda Carey and Uncle Ken to lend in with the Kanikapila too! Not to mention Rick and His Wahines of Steel! Ono Ono! Definitely Food for the 'Uhane!

Mahalo Nui, once again, to all for the Great Kaukau too! The variety and your generosity is incredible. Food for the Kino!

Speaking of Kaukau, we're thinking that this week's food theme should be "Kaukau O' Ke Kai", in honor of the Launching of the USS Nautilus back in 54. The US' first Nuclear Powered Submarine.

We were thinking "Reef Foods' but that was to close to 'Reefer' and thought we might end up with a Ton O' Pakalolo Brownies. Then we thought maybe ThermoNuclear food but one can only take so much of Al's Kim Chee before a China Syndrome occurs.

I want to extend our Aloha and Komo Mai to our newest Ohana members, Lynn, Mary and Clay.

Btw, we are working on an Official UFOhana Flight Manual that would contain not only our Gig songs but favorites of the Ohana as well. Please do submit any suggestions to us and if possible, as a word or pdf attachment.

submarines of course. the drink will be a Nautilus which is the greek word for sailor (and we know when sailors drink they play "in a canoe" on the ukulele). by the way, I tried to get my friend Betty to bartend for me last Friday, but she had another engagement

I did spend 2 months underwater in close contact with a reactor. No glow but then I can't remember one meal. I'll visit the galley and see what the cook has made. Still nuking and uking.

Sorry to say that the Wahines of Steel are down for the count. I just called Barbara to say that I can't come tonight because of a bad cold, and she said her sleepless night just caught up with her. Hope to be back in action next Friday...ready for more steelin' & slidin'.....
