I had a great time in Portland, the healing music conference was fabulous and Reed College was tranquil and beautiful.
Sorry, I'll be missing 'uke tonight. I'm going to Scottish Country dance class in Mill Valley. The Beginner's Ball is Saturday. Going to classes is really the only way to practice the dances.

I had planned something more adventurous for food, but I've been battling the effects of food poisoning this week (don't worry, I'm not bringing THAT dish over) and I didn't have the energy. So I'm bringing over the ever popular flan and green chili soup. Next time for something a little different...
Also I invited a friend from Ukulele Cosmos who happens to live in the East Bay and is also a math teacher and not bad on the uke - John Klienjans. I have no idea what he looks like...

Gotta go to a long-lost cousin's wedding tonight. A wedding on a friday night, imagine the gall! But then he's a french horn player, and you know how they can be...(whatever that means).
