WEEK 8 – 2009

BOT:

MAN! or more ‘Politically Correct’ . . .  PEOPLE!

It has been one Hela’ (is that also a Hula term?) busy week! I don’t know about you guys but I’m ready for a ‘relaxing ‘Friday. Whooooweee!

Mahalo Plenty Plenty to the Away Team that landed on Planet Pena Pachamana last night! I know it was a stretch for a lot of you, being in the middle of the week and all. But I know that Quentin definitely appreciated the Mele.

Mahalo also to Faith Ako and her band, also to the Camacho Ohana for sharing their beautiful Mele with us. We are honored to have you join us.

And of course Mahalo to Lopaka for making the Planet Pena Pachamama connection for us.

Here are some “Tri-Corder Scans” of the Away Team in action. Mahalo, Carey, for providing such hi-resolution documentation. Though there were only sparse signs of the local inhabitants. Those that we encountered were definitely Hawaiian Mele Friendly. One family, from Planet Pahree (Paris) was actually spending their last night in San Francisco with us. They had mentioned that they were wanting to hear Hawaiian Music and had given up hope of finding anything so last minute! There’s much to be said about Synchronicity…

PenaPachaMama

Ok so on to this week’s Food Da’kine!

Drum roll please . . . “Broken Hearted Food” (Sylvie, are you reading this?)  in honor of in 1956 Elvis Presley's releases "Heartbreak Hotel" . Ok, no Fried PB&Banana Sandwiches! That stuff can kill  you! Look it what happened to E.P. !  Hmmmmm, I wonder if like SPAM?

Gather In Silence,
Singing into Emptiness,
Mele for us all.

Aloha A Hui Hou!
