YES! Hard to believe but, this Friday marks the 9th Year of Ukulele Nights for the UFOhana at Hangar 1585!
We hope that UFOhana past, present and new will be joining us in celebrating our Hauoli La Hanau #9. Bring the family, bring your significant other(s), bring your Friend and most of all don’t forget to bring some Aloha. Oh, and maybe some KauKau too!
Speaking of which, I’m thinking that this week’s food theme shall be “Lucky 9”. Lucky because it’s Friday Da Terteen, la dat, and 9 because it’s our 9th. Get it? Ok, I know it’s not very original but it’s the best I can do at this late hour.
Btw, I have to say that last week’s ‘Battle O’ D’ Bands’ was fantastic! I’ve never had so much fun in hearing all the talent out there and to see how creatively you arrange your Meles. I think we’re getting closer to Touring? Ok, maybe just the Marin area? Summer is after all, coming soon.

I also want to add that I’m working on the UFOhana’s Greatest Hits 2009 Audio CD and hope to have ready for this Friday Night. A little something to remember ourselves by. It sounds pretty neat, complete with comments from the Peanut Gallery, though I wouldn’t try to sell on iTunes just yet.

Can't miss a party! Will bring avocado salad. The path was not too convoluted, from luck, to winning the lottery (if I had a four leaf clover), to that Lucky Charms leprechaun, to St. Patty, the emerald isle and all that...green! Works for me! Plus I really like avocado. :-}

Aloha Del. Am very much looking forward to celebrating with the ohana. I will be there with kalua pork though it does not fit the night's "theme". I'll bring my rice cooker and cook at your house if that's ok.

Ukehunter requesting permission to rejoin squadron ... A bit challenged on the 9/13 food theme (math was never my strong suit). Did you know there are nine ingredients in a batch of Tollhouse Cookies? Actually, there are 10, but ... and this is where the "luck" comes into play ... one of them is optional. So I'll be reporting with Lucky 9 chocolate chip cookies. Looking forward to seeing everybody. --- Tom

Looks like this calls for a giant green salad wiht at least nine ingredients...
and maybe a homemade dressing sand garlic and onions- top with those green snap things.
