Week 32 – 081009: Tear Jerker Night!

BOT:

Howzit UFOhana Pilots!

Well it had to happen sooner or later. Yes, this Friday will be “Tear Jerker Solos Night” (aka TJSN). So dust off those sad songs and get ready to cry in your Mugs O Beers or Glass of Merlots?

I’m in search of a special award for this night, but may have trouble finding just the right thing. But, beware of stiff competition from Bolos and Sista Sylvie! They’re written some pretty sad (in a good way) pieces as of late.

Mahalo, btw, for a great homecoming last Friday. Congrats to Brudda Bu and Wa’le (aka Steve WAHLE) for their new Ukes and for sharing them with the Ohana. Congrats also to Lopaka for doing so well with the Bohemians.

Fyi, this week’s food theme. Foods that make you Smile (to counter act all the Sad Songs of course)!

Btw, don’t forget that Aaron, Martin and George may be paying us a visit later in the night. So pump up on the Caffeine Drinks folks! It may be a late one!

Btw, here’s a link to their Bay Area tour site: http://hosted.verticalresponse.com/163878/f953b96438/481104/c900df41f4/

Mahalo to Susie Kagami for helping bring Hawaiian Music to the Bay Area!

Also we are in need of an Away Team for this Sunday at Tiki Tom’s Alameda to help Celebrate Brudda Tennyson Lum’s Birthday. Tennyson asked the UFOhana join him personally.

So far I have Susan, KimoB, possibly Sandy and myself.

Please RSVP ASAP so we can RSVP some TABLES at TT’s. Mahalo. Pau.

Here are last week’s Tri-Corder Scans:

Btw, on a sad note. The legendary Les Paul passed away today…
