Week 33 – 081709: Latin Music Night
¡Hola Ukulele Amigos Familias!
Well our Tear Jerker Solo Night was such a success that I decided to take Amy up on her suggestion of a Latin Solo Night. I figure how hard could this be. Besides we have the option of sad Latin Songs (for the Sylvie in us) and happy Latin songs right?
And, of course, in keeping with the Latin Music theme we should back that up with a Latin Food Theme right? Just one request though, let’s try and limit the amount of desserts this time, as you all know, some of us are suppose to be on sugar free diets. So bring a main or side dish instead, please. Please post your IR (Incoming Ration) to the Blog so we know if we’ll need to augment the main dishes. Sorry, I’m getting High Maintenance in my old age and the left over dessert are just too hard to resist!
Speaking of TJSN, here are the photos from last week and more from our Hawaii Trip (sorry, just had to rub that in again, ya?):
This collage features Chris’ very cool Tenor and Concert Cigar Box Ukulele. Which he constructed himself! Not only was it cool looking, but played pretty well too! You could almost smell the tobacco . . .
Here’s the Flight List for TJSN, 18 Pilots in total! “Different Keys” Song sheet below, is an original composition by Rick.
Which started the whole idea of Sad Solos. Then there’s the 10 Commandments in Da’Kine Pidgin, Mahalos Bolos for that find!
Players doing their thing. Susan and Max bonding. Remember Andy from Grass Valley, Lydia and Hofer and Tom from Berkeley? It was a great night for reunions . . .
Then of course there’s our very own Sultress of Sadness Sylvie Simmons. Brudda Bolos Belting out A Blue Bonanza!
Now is it just me or were we having too much fun for a Tear Jerker Solo Night??????
Ya know, you just never know what you’ll find at Yokohama Beach on the Waianae Coast. Glass Skulls,Anime Boy, Del making Sand Angels . . .

Who are you that calls,
Whispers in roaring silence,
Fractured Memories.
Well it’s late and I’m running out of steam now . . . no forget to send in your Incoming Rations now!

It's 6:28 P.M. and I won't have time to do Latin tonight. But I'll bring tomato salad with only "natural sugar." See you soon.
