Week 46 – Hui Puhi ‘Ohe Night!
BOT:
Alooooooooooha Ahi Ahi UFOhana!
Well here we are slowly trudging towards another Aloha Friday and what a special Friday this will turn out to be!
First off, Sandy and I came up with a cool idea of doing a “Band Night” (aka Hui Puhi ‘Ohe Night). How this works is 2 and up to 4 people per band, unless you’re a one person band and there are rumors that there may be one out there. Also, you are allowed to sing as many songs as there are in your Band. Band leaders will be considered the ones signed up on the Solos Board, you have reserve the right to choose your band members.
Second, we will be celebrating our very own Kathy Quain’s Big 4-OhNo!, Rick’s 6-OhOh and Al’s 7-Say-It-Isn’t-sOOOOOO!. Any more November babies are encouraged to come forward and be recognized!
Third, Woody Weingarten(of Ross Valley Reporter) and his wife, Nancy Fox, will be also joining us this Friday and I’m sure you will all share you Alohas with him as well.
Fourth, I’m suspecting that Ron San Miguel may be joining us as well.
As for this week’s food theme, let’s just call it “Green Room Foods” in Honor of Band night, but do keep main dishes in mind also. Please be sure to post your incoming rations to the site ASAP!
So as if as if Band Night wasn’t enough check out our very own Kahua51 Mascot! Mahalo Susan Max’s cool uniform!
On a more serious note. Please send your Aloha and Healing Mana to Brudda Tom Boromeo’s Ohana. His mother had taken ill last week and undergoing some intensive care at the moment. Aloha and Malama Pono TommyB!
Also, from Pua and Myself our sincerest Mahalo Nui Loa to all of you for helping send us to Keoki’s Camp! We count ourselves among the luckiest people in the world to have such an Ohana filled with so much Aloha. Attending one of these has been one of my greatest desires since I’ve begun my journey with the Ukulele and it’s unbelievable that it is actually happening and that Pua will be with me. Again, Mahalo Nui Loa to you all. You are forever in our hearts.
I had a thought, since we won’t be here for the 11/27/09 Kanikapila I’ve decided to move it to 11/25/09 instead! Please do leave a message if you’ll be joining us on the 25th so Pua can figure out what size Ham to get for us. Pua and I understand that this is the day before Thanksgiving, but we’d really like to be able to share some time with our Ohana before we leave. We figure we could provide the Ham (instead of the Turkey so we won’t spoil T-Day for you) and everyone else could bring ‘accessories’, like mashed potatoes, veggies, etc.?
Here are last week’s Tricorder Images from the Show Tunes Night, definitely signs of Intelligent Live and Aloha here . . .
Check our own Resident Hippy from Hair! Great Job Sandy! Peace out Brah!
Tristan above, one of our youngest members of the UFOhana gives “I Kona” his best shot.
Welcome back Mr. Donely! Above, Sandy as the Hippy Bouncer!

Since I'm coming directly from work on 11/25, I'll bring homemade white chocolate, cranberry and macadamia nut cookies for dessert...

I'll bring asparagus. It's definitely green, and possibly a "room food"
I haven't played in two weeks, and I'm ready to go.
